Warehouse Robotics
Webinar
Date
Tuesday, October 22, 2024
Time
7:00 am
As warehouses labor to keep up with the demands of peak season, more are turning to robotics to fortify their processes. Stretch automates the task of unloading trailers and containers, shouldering heavy loads and working long hours and extra shifts. We will be joined by Stefan Drieschner of Otto Group and Vinort Mahalingam of Hermes Fulfilment to explore how automated unloading is improving operational efficiency and supporting associates.
In this webinar you will learn:
Otto Group
Stefan is responsible for implementation projects in robotics for the Otto Group, and also supports classic intralogistics projects. He has worked in various fields and functions in logistics: sales and business development, operations with a focus on parcel networks, business IT, and project management. Before joining the Otto Group, he worked for COSCO, Dachser, Hellmann, and DPD. He also held several positions within the Otto Group before moving to the newly founded Supply Chain Management division as Head of Department: Hermes Fulfilment and Hermes Europe (holding company of the Hermes Group). Stefan completed a degree in business engineering with a focus on transportation and logistics at the University of Bremerhaven.
Hermes Fulfilment
Vinort is the Head of Network Optimization and Head of Robotics at Hermes Fulfilment, the largest logistics provider of the Otto Group. He is managing Hermes' partnerships with Boston Dynamics and Covariant. After various positions over 12 years at the Otto Group, he knows all 16 sites very well. His expertise lies in integrating AI and robotics into logistics processes. Vinort studied international business at the Fontys International Business School.
