During a live call, an operator’s attention belongs on the scene, not on driving the robot. In this webinar, Boston Dynamics’ Kamila Blain explains how Spot’s legged mobility and built-in autonomy take care of the hard parts of robot operation. Spot climbs stairs, opens doors, steps over clutter and rights itself if it falls, which lowers the cognitive load on operators during SWAT, EOD, Hazmat, and search-and-rescue missions.

We’re also joined by operators from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s All-hazard Regional Multi-agency Operations and Response (ARMOR) section. With more than 900 hours on Spot across hundreds of deployments, they’ll walk through real calls where the robot made the difference.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • How operators use Spot to investigate and de-escalate
  • What Spot’s built-in sensors and arm can do during tactical and EOD deployments
  • How other departments have integrated Spot into their scenarios
