Spot has changed how we think about robotics. Now it’s your turn. Whether you’re pushing the boundaries of robotics and AI, developing novel applications, or educating the next generation of researchers, engineers, and technicians, we solved mobility, manipulation, and ease of use out of the box. How can Spot help kickstart your journey to innovation?
In this webinar, you will learn:
Sales Lead, Academia and Research
Ed Colp is the lead sales representative for Boston Dynamics customers in academia and research. For the past three years, he has worked with researchers and educators to enable and expand their use of legged robots. Ed works closely with researchers exploring applications from applied research with industry or government partners to custom software or payload integration, as well as customers using Spot as a teaching platform.
Senior Staff Research Scientist, Spot Manipulation
Andrés is a research scientist on the Spot Manipulation team, where he develops new manipulation capabilities and tools for advanced Spot users. In his career, he has focused on enhancing the capabilities of robotic manipulators through optimization-based planning. He began this work with Boston Dynamics' as a doctoral researcher on MIT's DARPA Robotics Challenge team. He continued with R&D work at MathWorks and the Toyota Research Institute, and is now proud to be advancing the state of the art with his colleagues at Boston Dynamics.
Software Engineer, Spot Rapid Response and Inspections
Piro is a Software Engineer on the Spot Rapid Response and Inspections team, where he focuses on data acquisition pipelines for the Spot ecosystem, the Scout platform, and API/SDK development and improvements. Before coming to Boston Dynamics, Piro worked on autonomous software systems for various DoD research projects, where he held many roles in the software and API development teams. He joined Boston Dynamics 4 years ago, and he's passionate about continuing to make Spot the most advanced and extensible quadruped robot in the world.
